Passenger Information
Special Assistance & Care Services
We believe that every journey should be stress-free — especially for passengers who may need a little extra support along the way.
How to Request Assistance
All special assistance requests must be made at least 48 hours before departure to ensure the right support is arranged.
Contact us via email at info@sabarairlines.com or call our reservations team to notify us of your needs.
Please re-confirm your assistance request 24 hours before your flight to ensure all arrangements are in place.
Our staff at Egal International Airport are trained to assist passengers from check-in through to boarding.
Wheelchair & Mobility Assistance
Wheelchair assistance is available free of charge from check-in to your seat and upon arrival at your destination.
Passengers who use their own manual or electric wheelchair may bring it as checked baggage at no extra cost.
Electric wheelchairs with lithium batteries must be declared in advance. Battery size restrictions apply — please contact us for guidance.
Passengers with limited mobility will be given priority boarding to allow extra time to get settled comfortably.
Passengers with Medical Conditions
Passengers with a recent illness, surgery, or serious medical condition may be required to provide a fit-to-fly certificate from a licensed physician.
Medication and medical equipment (CPAP machines, portable oxygen concentrators) must be declared in advance and carried in the cabin.
Passengers requiring in-flight oxygen must arrange this through us at least 72 hours before departure. Personal oxygen cylinders are not permitted.
If you are travelling with injectable medication, carry a doctor's letter confirming the medical necessity alongside your prescription.
Important: Sabar Airlines reserves the right to request medical clearance before travel if there is concern for the passenger's safety or the safety of others on board.
Travelling with Children
Infants under 2 years travel on a parent or guardian's lap at a discounted fare. One infant per accompanying adult.
A collapsible stroller or pram may be checked in free of charge and will be returned at the aircraft door upon arrival.
Families with young children are offered priority boarding to allow extra time to board and get settled.
Baby food and formula in quantities exceeding 100 ml are permitted in the cabin when travelling with an infant — declare them at security.
Unaccompanied Minors
Children aged 5 to 15 years travelling without a parent or guardian must be booked as unaccompanied minors (UM) through our reservations team.
A UM service fee applies and covers dedicated supervision from check-in through to handover at the destination.
A parent or guardian must remain at the airport until the aircraft has departed and provide full contact details for the receiving adult.
Children under 5 years may not travel unaccompanied under any circumstances.
Visual & Hearing Impairment
Passengers who are blind or visually impaired will be met at check-in and escorted to their seat by a trained staff member.
Guide dogs and assistance animals are accepted in the cabin at no extra charge. Documentation from a certified authority is required — notify us in advance.
Passengers who are deaf or hard of hearing will receive all safety briefings and communications in written or visual form upon request.
Please inform us of your needs at the time of booking so we can ensure the right support is ready from the moment you arrive.
Our team is committed to making your journey as comfortable as possible. For any assistance queries, contact us at info@sabarairlines.com or visit our office at Hadhwanaag Mall, Hargeisa.
